Obituary for Barbara A. Slader

Barbara A. (Destoler) Slader, 75, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at home in Burrillville, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert S. Slader, whom she married Sept. 21, 1968. Born in Pascoag, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Sophie (Treber) Destoler.
Barbara worked as a CNA for many years at the former Lakeview Health Center, Harrisville and Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter Darlene Mandeville and her husband Richard of Pascoag: a son Michael R. Slader and his companion Marianne Hayes of Harrisville; two brothers; Raoul Destoler of Pascoag and Raymond Destoler of Harrisville; two grandchildren: Ashley and Kaylee and her loyal friend: her dog Buddy. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Duhamel.
Her funeral, beginning with calling hours, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave, Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Main St. Burrillville.
